Hello, I’m Mark. (But you can call me Binks).

Hi I’m Mark—an artist, maker, and "somewhat-disciplined chaotic force."

I am an artist, a maker, and a creative with a wild sense of curiosity.

If I had to define my process, I’d shrug and see what answer came out. I don't stay in one lane. Instead, I let my curiosity take the wheel, driving me forward to build contraptions, create contemporary artworks, design decorations, or whatever else takes my fancy along the way.

Why the name ArtisanBinks? Because "Artisan" is the only word broad enough to cover it all. From Creating interactive art spaces, to streaming creativity on Twitch and making YouTube videos about fine woodworking, engineering and laser-crafting in the workshop, I am always making something. I always have a plan or at least that's what I tell myself!

My philosophy is simple: I make things that I deem interesting, I try to good with what I make and fortunately, folks have sometimes described the results as "not that bad" from time to time. (In fact, sometimes they ain't half bad at all, if I say so myself!).

When the Tools Are Down

Away from creating, I’m a simple soul. I find my peace in the garden, the quiet of the countryside, or with my mind spinning about exploring my fascination with ancient history.

I’m also a proud nerd : I love getting together with friends to throw "shiny maths rocks," playing D&D, and creating worlds of adventure.

Whether I’m laser-cutting a complex art piece or rolling a natural 20, I’m just trying to share a little bit of that joy and curiosity with you.
